Seek peace and pursue it… Psalm 34:14

All-Knowing

It’s amazing how the Spirit works
Revealing what’s real
Behind layers of pride
Proverbial walls obstruct and hide
True intent from Man’s eyes
But God sees all.

May not all He sees
Be haughty works and
vain deeds. Unfulfilled promises
and excuses scream
“It’s them, it’s them! Not me!”
But God hears all.

May not all He hears
Be the sound of sighs and
wasted tears. But today
There’s time to repent and pray
That mercy restore
A heart that strays.

As a man labors
So receives he his pay.
May his works stand up
Against all trying–
And fire on judgement day.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
