Seek peace and pursue it… Psalm 34:14

Power of words.

The Power of Words
Image and reflection by Jermonté S.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
James, 3.6

Have you ever found yourself faced with a challenging obstacle and then you automatically said to yourself, “I can’t,” which was followed by a rush of shame or inadequacy? Well, maybe it’s just me. The truth is, our words have a lot of power. Think about it this way: if the created world was preceded by “let there be…” then certainly that’s a lot of power.

As Beings created in the same likeness of that power, we have the underrated ability to alter aspects of our circumstances, by speaking words in accordance with the perception we are inducing. Some call this power faith, others call it manifestation, and even more call it the law of attraction. In either case, words are power; words create reality.

Before we continue… Think about it: how do you feel right now?

Now read this out loud:

“I am worthy of love and peace because I was created for life. When seemingly bad things happen I remember that it is only temporary and I’m joyful because challenges only make me stronger. I can overcome anything if I believe that I can. My Creator wants me to overcome. I’m strong, and I have the courage to endure anything because I am created for life.”

Now how do you feel?

The power of words.

Since our words are power, let them be rooted in Love, and let them be True.
