Seek peace and pursue it… Psalm 34:14

Undefeated

I was feeling kinda down;
On the ground
Hearing all these sounds
Say I wasn’t worth nothing now.
I look around
And the crowd’s only voices in my head,
Speaking dread;
Saying that I’m only worth something dead.
There was nothing I could do;
Who could I tell?
So I faked a smile;
And walked around pretending that I’m well.
I turned to alcohol,
And sex that’s for sale
I was down; I was living in this hell.

But Yahuah saw my heart;
He gave a brand new start,
I’m breathing!
He purified my soul;
And now I know I’m undefeated!

Now those times are just a daze;
What can I say? Life has changed.
I see better times; I see better days.
Not all my problems went away;
That’s okay, ’cause I’m not alone,
And my Yah is with me when I pray.
There still be times when those memories are creeping in.
There still be times when I’m feeling like I wanna sin.
I know He’ll lead me in His ways;
Through the haze.
Life’s all fun and games ’til you see them flames.

He gave a brand new start,
I’m breathing!
He purified my soul;
And now I know I’m undefeated!

I bring my ego low,
For fear that I might grow conceited!
But faith is how I know,
I always will be undefeated!

But faith is how I know,
I always will be undefeated!
